Lord Frost is a British Diplomat and former Minister of State at the Cabinet Office. Frost resigned from the government on 18 December 2021, stating that he had “concerns about the current direction of travel” of the government. He cited Boris Johnson’s tax hikes, net-zero commitments, and Covid regulations, and failure to seize the benefits of Brexit as the reason for his resignation.

Famously known by the Family name Harriet Mathews, is a great Diplomat. She was born on 22 December 1973, in Lilongwe, Malawi. Married in 2018 to fellow diplomat David Frost, since his elevation to the peerage in 2020, she is formally styled The Lady Frost.

Mathews was educated at South Hampstead High School and the University of York. She entered the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 1997. In June 2015 Mathews became the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Somalia. In 2016 the FCO announced that she was to transfer to another Diplomatic Service appointment, and she left Somalia on 30 December 2016.
