The list includes former Downing Street chief of staff Dan Rosenfield and former London mayor Kulveer Singh Ranger, as well as 38 honours and seven peerages.

Some criticised the decision because Owen was perceived as inexperienced and having made no significant contributions to British politics or society

Charlotte Owen is a  29 years old former special adviser who graduated from the University of York with a 2:1 in Politics and International Relations in 2015.

She worked as an intern and parliamentary assistant before becoming a special adviser to Prime Ministers Johnson and Truss.

She divided her time equally between the Chief Whip and Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury, Chris Heaton-Harris, and Mr Johnson. She has been in parliament for about five years and eight months, which means she has gone from parliamentary intern to Baroness in less than six years.
