Michael Constantine was an American actor born on May 22, 1927. He was known for the character Gus Portokalas in the romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Emmy Awards and the Golden Globe Awards awarded him for his impeccable acting skills.

Constantine portrayed night court magistrate Matthew J. Sirota on the 1976 sitcom Sirota’s court, receiving his second Golden Globe nomination.

Kathleen Christopher and Michael in the year 1974 got married. The marriage is said to have lasted for six years before their divorce in 1980. Kathleen Christopher, the second wife to Michael, is an actress who was mostly away from the spotlight. Although the couple did not have any kids, they shared six years married before divorcing in 1980. Christopher is said to have cut off all ties with the press, the public, and the limelight after parting ways with Michael. She was not a celebrity but garnered attention about a decade ago when she landed a role in ‘Ghost Detectives.’

Juliana McCarthy, who happens to be the first wife to Michael, is an actress and a cast in the soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’ from 1973 to 1986. Julianna and Michael got married on October 5, 1953. The couple has two children, namely; Brendan Neil Constantine and Thea Eileen Constantine. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in1969.

McCarthy also acted in several motion pictures such as The Last American Virgin, The Distinguished Gentleman, The Frightener, Starship Troopers, and Ted Bundy. She also had a recurring role as Mila in ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and in the 1991 remake of ‘Dark Shadows’ as Mrs. Johnson, the housekeeper.

On 31st August 2021, The New York Times sadly announced the demise of the comic actor. Michael Constantine died at the age of 96.
