Courtney Wayment-Smith is an American track and field athlete who represents On Running and will compete for Team USA in the 3000 m steeplechase at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Courtney Wayment-Smith was born on August 4, 1998, in the United States of America. Courtney Wayment is 26 years old as of 2024. Courtney’s parents are Mark and Becky Wayment.

Both of her parents were on the cross-country and track and field teams at Weber State University. Mark was particularly distinguished, earning All-America honors in the steeplechase in 1985 and 1986 and being inducted into the Weber State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000.

Since turning professional in 2022, Courtney has competed with Team USA at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, in 2022, and in Budapest, Hungary, in 2023.
At the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in June 2021, she narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympics, but she achieved a personal best of 9:23.09, making her the ninth fastest American in history.
In 2024, she secured a spot on Team USA by finishing second in the finals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials with a time of 9:06.50, making her the fourth-fastest American ever.
