In a recent interview, Whitemoney, whose real name is Hazel Oyeze Onou, opened up about the challenging period in his life when he was forced to live under the Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos state.
Whitemoney recounted how he used the bridge as his makeshift home while working at a cosmetics store nearby. Despite the hardships, he remained determined to improve his situation.

His life took an unexpected turn when a wealthy married woman visited the store and made him an offer that could have changed everything.

“I got a blank cheque from a lady when I was living under Ojuelegba Bridge,” Whitemoney revealed. “Then I was learning cosmetology, she came into the store to buy something, then she saw me and gave me her number to call her.”
Intrigued yet cautious, Whitemoney called the number. The woman, whom he described as very beautiful, invited him to meet her at a hotel. During their meeting, she presented him with a blank check, offering him an opportunity for financial stability. However, the interaction took a different turn when she mistakenly sent him a family picture, revealing she had a husband and five sons.
“She was one of those women that their husbands are hardly around,” Whitemoney said. “If she had not done that, maybe I would have slept with her. But the fact that I know that she was married, I refused. I have a law, I can never sleep with a married woman.”
