Some chatbots have the appearance of robots. The majority, on the other hand, are simple software programmes that operate through a chat interface on a website or in an app.

Text is the most typical technique to communicate with chatbots. For example, a chat interface or messaging apps.

Conversational AI  on the other hand, is the umbrella term for the AI technology that powers computer conversations. That is, it refers to a variety of artificial intelligence technologies that allow computers to communicate with us “intelligently.”

What is the difference between a chatbot and conversational AI?

The difference between the two is that Conversational AI is concerned with the tools and programming that enable a computer to replicate and carry out human conversational experiences, whereas a chatbot is software that can (but does not usually) use conversational AI. It’s the programme that interacts with users.

Chatbots are powered by conversational AI. Conversational AI isn’t used by all chatbots.
