What is the age difference between Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria?

Alexander Rae Baldwin III, popularly known as Alec Baldwin, (born April 3, 1958), is an American actor, writer, comedian, film producer, and political activist.

Baldwin was 54 when he married his wife Hilaria whose real name is Hilary Hayward- Thomas ( born  January 6, 1984), and was  28 at that time, in 2012.

The couple first met in February 2011 at now-closed vegan restaurant Pure Food and Wine. Hilaria was working as a yoga instructor at Yoga Vida when she met her husband.

Despite their 26-year age differences, the couple went ahead to get married on June 29, 2012, at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York City.

They first had five children and after experiencing two miscarriages within seven months in 2019, Alec and Hilaria secretly welcomed a sixth child together, announcing the news in March 2021.

In an interview with The New York Times, Hilaria had mentioned that she was not bothered by the age difference between her husband and hers.  She said that when they started dating,

“I didn’t really think too much of it because we’re so different.’ Everyone has commented on our age difference, and it is big, and I’m not someone who watches TV. So he’s somebody completely out of my world—not someone I’d necessarily think of.”
