The Mexican professional boxer Oscar Valdez made his professional debut on November 3, 2012, defeating Angel Prado through 2nd round stoppage in a scheduled six-round fight.

Following his six times super featherweight wins in 2013, he racked up a record of 8 wins, all by stoppage and no defeats.

On April 9, 2016, Valdez faced former IBF featherweight champion Evgeny Gradovich for the vacant WBO NABO featherweight title at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. After the fight, Valdez beats Gradovich via 4th-round stoppage.

Valdez defeated Miguel Berchelt to claim the WBC super featherweight title on February 20, 2021.

On May 20, 2023, Valdez beat Adam Lopez by unanimous decision in a stay-busy fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Paradise, Nevada, United States.

Valdez is set to face Emanuel Navarrete on August 12, 2023. The fight will take place at Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale, United States.
