What did Hideo Kojima do to get into video game production? According to sources, Hideo Kojima was very much interested in film production while growing up. He once shared that because his friends had no interest in movies and video games, there was unsupportive when he told them about his interest and intention of getting into video gaming. Therefore, he often told them that he worked in a financial institution when they asked about his occupation because of his occupation as a ‘video game designer.’ He became a member of Konami’s MSX home computer division in 1986. He was only interested in Konami because it was the only game developer listed on the Japanese stock exchange at that time.
