Timothy Duane Hardaway Jr. is a professional basketball player from the United States who was born on March 16, 1992. He now competes in the National Basketball Association for the Dallas Mavericks.

Hardaway participated in collegiate basketball for the Michigan Wolverines before entering the NBA. He was a member of the national runner-up 2012–13 team in his junior year, and as a result, he announced his entry into the NBA draft.

The New York Knicks selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. He has played for both the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks. Tim Hardaway, an NBA Hall of Famer, is the father of Hardaway.

During his freshman year in the 2010-11 NCAA Division I men’s basketball season, Hardaway won four Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week awards, three of which came in the last four weeks.

During that time, he averaged more than 20 points per game, helping the 2010–11 club move up to fourth in the Big Ten Conference men’s basketball standings. He was chosen for both the Big Ten All-Freshman team and the honorable mention All-Big Ten team after the season.

For the most made three-pointers in a single season, he established a new Michigan freshman record. He also participated for Team USA in the 2011 FIBA Under-19 World Championship and was named to the Collegeinsider.com Freshmen All-America team in 2011.

Tim Hardaway Jr. left the Mavericks’ game against the Kings on Saturday night after sustaining a hamstring injury. Hardaway was named to the 2011–12 All–Big Ten third team during his second season for the team. He received the 2012–13 All–Big Ten honors during his junior year, being chosen for both the first team by coaches and the second team by the media.
