Hi-Five is a Waco, Texas-based American R&B quintet. “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)” by Hi-Five was a #1 success on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1991.

Tony Thompson, Roderick “Pooh” Clark, Marcus Sanders, Russell Neal, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native Toriano Easley were the founding and original members of the band, which was established in 1989.
Hi-Five was signed to Jive Records in late 1989, and their self-titled debut album was released in 1990.

What happened to the r& b group Hi-Five?
In 1994, the remaining members of the Hi-Five disbanded. Thompson attempted a comeback in 2005 with a new Hi-Five, but three original members sued him for using the Hi-Five name.
When Thompson died in Waco from freon inhalation two years later, Irby and Sanders were working on putting Hi-Five back together.
