Actor Mark Dodson, known for his roles in Star Wars and Gremlins, has passed away at 64 years old. He died while he was in Evansville, Indiana, which is about 170 miles southwest of Indianapolis, for a fan convention. Reports say he had a big heart attack while he was sleeping in his Indiana hotel.

His daughter, Ciara, confirmed his death and said he was in Evansville for Horror Con 2024. Ciara said her dad always made her proud. Mark was supposed to be at the event on Saturday and Sunday. Other famous people like Bam Margera from Jackass and Jason Hawes from Ghost Hunters were also expected at the convention. Mark was planning to take pictures with fans and sign autographs. He was also going to be part of a discussion panel on Sunday. A few days before, he shared on Instagram to tell fans to come see him at the convention.

Mark had been a voice actor for 40 years and was most famous for his work in the Gremlins movies. He also did voices for Star Wars movies and video games, starting with Salacious Crumb in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Recently, he was heard as Adam Hamada in the Ghostrunner II game. His representative said Mark always brought something special to the characters he voiced.

The Evansville Horror Con posted a tribute to Mark on Facebook, saying they were very sad about his sudden passing. They said Mark was not only a talented actor but also loved in the horror community. They asked everyone to remember the joy Mark brought to the world through his work.
