La Toya Jackson played a significant role in the aftermath of her brother Michael Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009. As one of the first siblings present at the Reagan-UCLA Medical Center after Michael’s passing, La Toya was deeply involved in the events that followed. She was named as the informant on Michael’s death certificate, signing it when Conrad Murray, Michael’s physician, refused to do so.

In the wake of Michael’s sudden death, La Toya took proactive steps to investigate the circumstances surrounding it. She requested a second autopsy after noticing suspicious medical paraphernalia in Michael’s rented house and became concerned about the behaviour of his doctors.

Additionally, La Toya discovered that a significant amount of cash and jewels, totalling $2 million, had gone missing.

Following the investigation, the Los Angeles County Coroner ruled Michael Jackson’s death a homicide, attributing it to acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication. This ruling confirmed La Toya’s suspicions and underscored the seriousness of the situation surrounding her brother’s passing.
