Despite the fact that he came in second place in the 2012 season of the show, there is high demand for his baking skills and knowledge. Brendan Lynch’s demonstrations and talks were so well received that city bankers engaged him to teach them how to bake and amuse them at Christmas parties.

Brendan was the seventh of eight children born in Kells, Ireland, in 1949. His mother died while he was a child, and the house was devoid of cooking books.

The 72-year-old now resides in Sutton Coldfield with his partner Jason Hart, a Bath University lecturer. He currently teaches culinary seminars and gives baking demonstrations at food festivals all across the UK.
