The Concerned Farmers Association has issued a stark warning to President Akufo-Addo, threatening to force his resignation if the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) proceeds with the sale of four hotels to Rock City Hotel, owned by Bryan Acheampong, the Minister of Agriculture.

Nana Oboadie Boateng, the National President of the association, vehemently opposes the sale and has demanded SSNIT halt the transaction immediately.

In a strong statement, Boateng warned Minister Acheampong to abandon his plans to acquire the hotels, cautioning that any success in this venture would result in a vigorous campaign aimed at unseating him from his parliamentary seat.

Speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM’s Frontline with Kwabena Agyapong, Boateng criticized the practice of political leaders using their positions for personal gain through the privatization of state assets.

He labeled such actions as corrupt and urged for an end to what he described as systemic exploitation of national resources.

“Bryan Acheampong should drop this idea immediately. SSNIT must cease any further steps toward selling the hotels to him.

If they proceed, we will dismantle SSNIT and stage an unprecedented protest against President Akufo-Addo,” Boateng asserted.

The association leader emphasized their readiness to expose and oppose any politician involved in similar dealings, declaring their intention to mobilize widespread demonstrations to showcase their dissatisfaction with the current administration’s governance.

“We will not tolerate the continued privatization of state assets by those in power. This is a clear demonstration of incompetence and disregard for the welfare of Ghanaians,” Boateng concluded.
