The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) has issued a stern warning to Dancehall star Shatta Wale, giving him just seven days to apologize for his disrespectful remarks towards fellow artist Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale, in a widely circulated video, taunted Stonebwoy for his disability after Stonebwoy opted out of an event where Shatta Wale was set to perform.

The GSPD, deeply offended by Wale’s derogatory comments, demands a public apology within the stipulated timeframe.

Matthew Annor, the president of the GSPD, stressed that failure to comply will result in legal action. Annor emphasized that they have already initiated contact with Shatta Wale’s team to address the issue.

However, if Wale does not apologize, the GSPD will escalate the matter through formal letters and, if necessary, legal channels.

The society reiterated that mocking disabilities is unacceptable and cited the Disability Act 715, which penalizes such behavior.

They condemned Shatta Wale’s actions as irresponsible, emphasizing that his status as a public figure makes his behavior even more reprehensible.

The GSPD calls on the public to denounce such behavior and stands firm in their demand for accountability from the musician.
