Full name is Venus Ebony Starr Williams, Venus Williams was born on June 17, 1980, in Lynwood, California of the U.S.A. Her parents are Richard Williams and Oracene Price.
At age 10, Venus Williams and her family moved from Compton, California where they stayed to their new place at West Palm Beach in Florida. The purpose of their migration was to allow Venus and Serena Williams to attend a tennis academy, Rick Macci.
When Venus Williams was 11 years old, her father pulled her and her sister, Serena Williams, from the national junior tennis tournament. During that period, Venus Williams was holding a 63-0 record at the United States Tennis Association Junior Tour.
As of then, she was on the number 1 spot among the under-12 players in Southern California.
Later on in 1995, their dad, Richard Williams took Venus Williams and Serena Williams out of Rick Macci tennis academy and he personally coached his own daughters.

Venus Williams became a professional in 1994 when she was 14 years old. She played against her sister, Serena Williams in the Australian Open in 1998 during the second round.
That was the first time the blood sisters had played against each other as professional tennis players. Venus Williams succeeded in beating her sister, Serena Williams but unfortunately lose to the third-best tennis player in the world, Lindsay Davenport during the third round.
In all their professional tennis career period, the Serena sisters have faced each other 24 times.
For three times, Venus Williams has been ranked the world’s No.1 women’s tennis player for a total of 11 weeks. Her first ranking was on February 25, 2002, and she was the first black woman to achieve that great feat.

She and her sister, Serena Williams have remained unbeaten in the Grand Slum Double Finals. Venus has attained five Wimbledon Single Titles.

From 2007 to 2010, Venus Williams was in a relationship with professional Golf player, Hank Kuehne. In 2012, she began to date Elio Pis who is a model from Cuba. They met during an event where Elio was hired as a model to promote Underwear for EleVen. Their relationship lasted until 2015 and from 2017 to 2019, she dated Publishing Heir, Nick Hammond.
Venus is a member of Jehova Witness.

She attained a Bachelor Degree of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University East. She has the ambition of obtaining an MBA in the coming future.
Venus Williams: The Accident
On June 9, 2017, Venus Williams was driving at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida when a vehicle hit the SUV she was driving. She was hit before she got to the road intersection.
A 78-year-old man died and one person got .injured in the accident. The police initially blamed Venus for the accident after a month had passed, they reviewed the surveillance video and the authorities concluded that the accident was not Venus Williams fault.

As of July 2017, Venus Williams earned $38 million from her tennis profession which made her the second-highest female tennis player of all-time ahead of Maria Sharapova ($36.5 million) and her sister Serena Williams being the highest with a net worth of $85 million.
