Contrary to reports suggesting he turned down the role, Vicker explained that the disagreement was about the filming schedule.
In a recent interview, Vicker revealed that Fii Frank Garbin had approached him to play a part similar to one previously performed by Ramsey.
Vicker, who was studying at the time, was informed that the role would require a month of shooting. He expressed concerns about the length of the commitment, as longer shooting days would demand higher fees.

Given his academic commitments, he proposed an alternative of ten days of work instead.
When Vicker’s proposal was declined, he was surprised to see that Ramsey, the actor who eventually took on the role, completed his part in ten days, just as Vicker had suggested.
Vicker clarified that he never outright refused the role but offered a more manageable schedule. Had there been a negotiation, an agreement could have been reached.
