The AMVCA ceremony, which gathered top actors, directors, and filmmakers from across Africa, was held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Lagos’ Eko Hotel.
In a post that has since been removed, the actress and filmmaker posted a picture of Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, praising her for flawlessly coordinating the awards.
Abraham expressed that this edition of the AMVCA was the most remarkable and genuine one yet.

She wrote, “Best and realest AMVCA ever welldone @busola.tejumola You did well and Yes @africamagic welldone we love you.”
Some social media users speculated that Abraham’s praise for the AMVCA may have been influenced by her colleague and competitor, Funke Akindele, not receiving any awards despite being nominated.
Nonetheless, Abraham’s acknowledgment underscores the importance of recognizing excellence in African cinema and the hard work put in by event organizers.
