Top Nigerian Celebrities Who Have Been Accused Of Sexual Misconduct

Sex, in this century, is one of the fastest-selling ‘commodities’ which has a great potential of reducing one’s status in society.

A sex scandal is surely something celebrities will love to stay away from. However, some of our favorite celebrities have not been lucky and have been rocked by some sex scandals.

Some have denied them whiles others have remained silent.

1. Peruzzi

He was embroiled in a sex scandal after a lady identified as Princess (@Jayamah22) took to Twitter to accuse him of sexually assaulting her in 2012.

Peruzzi vehemently denied the allegations. However, that’s not the first time Peruzzi had been accused of sexual harassment as some time ago, an ‘underground singer’, Daffy Blanco accused Peruzzi of sexually assaulting her.

Blanco claimed that aside from wanting to have his way with her sexually, Peruzzi also refused to render the songwriting services he was paid for.

2. Uti Nwachukwu

Again, on Twitter, a lady known as Kambili Korie wrote a lengthy post about how Uti sexually assaulted her.

According to Kambili, she became Uti’s friend after they met at a clothing store where she worked as an apprentice. She said that the sexual assault happened in 2017 and even went further to share a screenshot of her chat with Uti to prove that they knew each other.

In his defense, Uti took to social media to educate its users about apps which can be used to generate fake tweets.

3. D’Banj

Again, D’banj’s sexual assault woes came via Twitter. Aunty Seyitan, the alleged victim gave a detailed narration about the sexual abuse dished out to her by the popular musician.

D’Banj, despite the severity of the allegations, chose to remain silent over the issue.

4. Brymo

A lady identified as Biliquis via Twitter spoke on behalf of the victim who claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Brymo.

Biliquis shared screenshots of the narration of events by the victim. The victim claimed that Brymo sexually harassed her.

After being dragged by Twitter users, Brymo decided to respond to the accusations by asking a sarcastic question; “is Rapist a new word for anyone doing something of note these days?”.

5. Timaya

In 2015, he was accused by an Atlanta based upcoming artist, known as Shella B of sexual assault.

However, Timaya said that they had consensual sex and that Shella’s accusations were part of a grand scheme of blackmailing him into parting ways with $50,000.

6. Biodun Fatoyinbo

During an interview with YNaija in 2019, Busola Dakolo gave an account of how Biodun Fatoyinbo, the senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly raped her twice.

Busola said that she met him when she was a teenager and it was during that time that the respected pastor took advantage of her sexually.

Interestingly, Busola’s husband, Timi Dakolo filed a case against the popular celebrity pastor only for the case to be ‘turned upside down’, with Busola rather becoming the suspect in the investigation.

In his defence, Fatoyinbo said, “As a Christian, you must face opposition. If God, who is holy and faithful, has enemies, you are sure going to have”.

In June 2020, the case was handed over to the Ministry of Justice.

7. Obesere

In 2014, he was accused of rape by a 29-year old Business woman called Olanike Olaiya at his residence in Okota.

According to reports, she stayed on at his residence after they had a business meeting because “it was getting late”.

During her stay at his residence, she claimed that he raped her and even inserted a ring he wore into her genitals causing her to bleed.

Obesere was arrested and when the lady underwent a medical check-up, it was revealed that indeed, she was raped.

However, Obesere claimed that they were lovers and that they made love when she visited him.

8. TB Joshua

In July 2019, Bisola Johnson accused the revered pastor or rape. Among other things, she also claimed that the revered pastor held her captive for 14 years.

However, T.B Joshua’s representatives said that his accuser has been mentally unstable for years and urged the public to disregard her claims.

9. MC Galaxy

An upcoming actress and singer, Simbee Davis accused him of rape around the time when Busola Dakolo’s accusation against Pastor Fatoyinbo had gathered wind.

Simbee claimed that MC Galaxy raped her in 2010 but surprisingly, she said that the allegations were false and that she used them as a means of chasing clout.
