Readers will recall that, a few days ago, Tonto called on Nigerians to support a petition Ghanaians were signing to ask Akuapem Poloo’s sentence to be reversed.

After serving almost a week of her sentence, Akuapem Poloo, yesterday, Wednesday, April 21st, was granted a GH¢80,000 (N5. 6 million) bail with two sureties to be justified. Her lawyer is said to have sought an appeal.
Tonto has taken to her Instagram page to thank Nigerians and everyone who spoke on Akuapem’s sentence and made it possible.

She also went on to thank the Ghanaian government and lawmakers adding that, “we learn to grow.”

Though Tonto did not find the picture which Akuapem Poloo shared that got her in this trouble pleasant and said it was indeed ‘classless’, she, like many others, however, believed the sentence that was given to the Ghanaian actress was too harsh.
Akuapem Poloo was slapped with a 90-day sentence on Friday, April 16th, for a naked photo she posted on social media last year, posed with her son.
