German International and Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has officially announced his retirement from the German national team.

The genius midfielder announced on July 2, 2021, few days after they were eliminated from the Euro 2020 Championship. Toni Kroos will be remembered for his outstanding free kick against Sweden in the 2018 world cup.

According to Kroos, he had made his decision known to Low before Euro 2020. In his statement with Bild, Toni Kroos revealed that Hansi Flicks wanted him to continue with the national team but this is the moment to retire and concentrate on Real Madrid.
“I’ve already cleared everything up with Hansi because I want him to be able to plan (without me). We were already in contact before the Euros and he said he would like to work with me after the tournament”
Toni Kroos won the World Cup with German in 2014. Mario Gotze’s only goal won the ultimate prize against Argentina.
