Born in Hampshire and raised in Taunton, Somerset, Austen’s journey into acting began after attending Queen’s College, Taunton, and later the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Notably, Tom Austen is recognized for his portrayal of characters like Jasper Frost in “The Royals” and Guy Hopkins in “Grantchester.”

His career took off with his first acting job as Anto in an episode of the UK series “Shameless” in 2010. Subsequently, he embarked on a series of multi-episode roles, including appearances on “The Borgias” and “Beaver Falls” in 2012, and starring as Marc Bayard in the police procedural series “Jo” in 2013.

However, it was his co-starring role as Guy Hopkins in “Grantchester” in 2014 that marked a significant turning point in his career.
Austen’s diverse talent led him to portray the duplicitous bodyguard Jasper Frost in the E! drama series “The Royals” in 2015, earning him a dedicated following.
In October 2019, Tom Austen took on the role of Daimon Helstrom in the Hulu series “Helstrom,” showcasing his versatility as an actor. His filmography also includes appearances in “The Bold Type,” “Django,” “No. 89,” and many more.
