Recalling a particular incident where she ranked 52nd out of 52 students, Toke attempted to cleverly alter her grade by changing the 5 to a 2. However, her mother discovered the deception and disciplined her for it.
Despite the punishment, Toke’s mother continued to support her education, waking her up at night to encourage her to study harder.
