Nollywood actress, Toke Makinwa has advised Nigerians to get something done in order to get over the unfortunate incident that occurred on 20th October in Lekki.

Toke Makinwa

She said even though the country has been through hard moments and have had business lost, irreplaceable lives and all that, people have to move on with their lives. She further added that people have to identify what can work for them in the process, whether comedy or anything at all.

She said:

“The last 2 weeks has been a lot for my country Nigeria and I, we’ve been through irreplaceable loss of Lives, hopes, dreams have been cut short, businesses ruined and unimaginable pain felt. Last night, the worst Address from our commander in chief was one of the hardest things to watch. I woke up this morning feeling confused and I decided to remind myself of who I am, what I have been able to create for myself even in a system that’s designed to make me fail and that spirit that is indestructible. The true Nigerian spirit. Bruised but not broken, crushed but not defeated, I know we all feel lost now, take a day or two off, look at all you’ve survived and try to find that strength to push through. Some find it in comedy, whatever works for you, take some time to heal mentally, you deserve it. My non-Nigerian family, pray for all your Nigerian friends in this time, we will come out stronger 🙏”
