Thomas Tuchel made this announcement during the last press conference of the season as Bayern Munich prepare to face Hoffenheim at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.
Prior to this, it was reported that Tuchel was in an engagement with the Bayern Munich leaders but their engagement did not yield a positive result for the former Chelsea manager.

The two parties did not reach an agreement, hence, had to part ways.

Thomas Tuchel stated: ‘This is my last press conference at Sabener Strasse. There were talks, but we didn’t reach an agreement, so the decision of February still stands. The feedback from recent weeks was the foundation for us having a discussion.
“But we couldn’t reach an agreement. I won’t name the reasons.’I’m a bit sad because I don’t like leaving teams and a staff. There are 60, 70 people here that you see everyday,” Tuchel added.
