Thomas Mars is the second husband of Sofia Coppola.

Mars is a French musician and the lead singer of the French indie pop band Phoenix.
He was born on November 21, 1976, in Versailles, Yvelines, Île-de-France. Mars began his musical career early age.
When he turned 10, Mars established the band Phoenix with his schoolmate Chris Mazzalai and Deck d’Arcy and later Laurent Brancowitz older brother of Mazzalai also joined.
Mars wrote and produced the band’s first charting single in France, “Too Young”, which peaked at number 97. In 2000, Phoenix release its first studio album “United”.

The band has since released six albums and won a Grammy Award in 2010.
Thomas Mars met Sofia Coppola, an American filmmaker, and actress whilst producing the soundtrack to one of Coppola’s films The Virgin Suicides.
They walk down the aisle at Palazzo Margherita in Bernalda, Italy, on August 27, 2011.
Mars and Sofia have been blessed with two daughters.
