Thembisa Liyema Nxumalo Reacts To The Shutdown Of Musica

Talented actress of Mzansi, Thembisa Liyema Nxumalo, has commented on the closure of Musica in South Africa.

Her reaction came following the announcement made by the pharmaceutical giant, clicks. They considered closing down the company in the arts industry, following the outbreak of covid 19 and its effect on their operation.

However, Thembisa expressed her displeasure about the closure of the company and gave out some suggestions. According to her some people still use the old ways to purchase videos, music, and DVDs from the store.

However, Musica could have considered shifting it to the online style of working.

In announcing the disclosure, she wrote:

“The inevitable demise of the brand has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in the rapid decline in foot traffic in destination malls where Musica stores are typically located.”

Thembisa wrote

“There are still people who collect music/movies/dvds the ‘old fashioned’ way. Musica could have moved online and created a space for that. Oh well”
