During Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, she appeared in a short skit with the animated character Paddington Bear. Both of them shared that they kept a marmalade sandwich on hand for emergencies. Paddington pulled his from his hat while the Queen pulled hers from her handbag.

People have taken to Buckingham Palace to leave bears and sandwiches at the entrance, in a form of paying tribute to the Queen. However, this action has heavily been criticized by the Park officials.
“We are obviously asking people not to leave Paddington Bears and things that can’t be recycled or composted,” said Jo Scrivener. He is the assistant park manager at nearby Richmond Park, who was drafted in to help with all the floral abundance arriving at Green Park near Buckingham Palace on Monday, September 19, 2022.
The official Paddington Bear Twitter account took to the social media platform to repeat the exact line the animated character said to the Queen in the skit.
“Thank you, Ma’am, for everything.“
