This book, along with a manual for administrative programs and activities and a disciplinary code, was launched at the 4th Executive Presbytery and Key Leaders Conference in Kumasi.
These documents are grounded in biblical teachings on proper behavior for church leaders. They are designed to support the Assemblies of God Ghana’s Constitution by guiding pastors in Christian etiquette and conduct.
Rev. Wengam explained that it is now necessary to regulate the behavior of ministers and their spouses and ensure consistent application within the Assemblies of God churches in Ghana.
He emphasized that despite the church’s growth over the years, God’s Word remains central to its ministry. Rev. Wengam expressed concern that the church has recently faced significant challenges.

The new manuals aim to help ministers discern acceptable, Bible-based behavior that glorifies God, helping them and their spouses live beyond reproach.
This manual is the first of its kind in the history of Assemblies of God Ghana. Rev. Wengam believes it will be transformative, offering security and assurance to ministers who follow its guidelines and the Scriptures.
Justice Georgina Theodora Wood, a former Chief Justice and adult Sunday School Teacher, praised the manual as a valuable resource for ethical Christian living.
She noted that its many scriptural references show it is inspired by God, not just a set of strict rules, and is intended to help God’s workers succeed.
The 167-page book includes 55 ethical principles covering various aspects of pastoral life, such as pulpit and monetary ethics, pastoral accountability, and conduct during church services and prayer meetings.
