While some artists might argue for their inclusion in specific categories, Perez emphasized his focus on soul-winning rather than awards.
The renowned singer of ‘Blema Tesa’ highlighted that as a gospel artist, his priority lies in impacting lives positively, viewing nominations as secondary. He trusts the board’s judgment in nominating artists based on their skills.

Perez stressed his primary goal of soul-winning, finding fulfillment in transforming lives. He acknowledged his nominations in three categories but emphasized his contentment regardless of the number.

His comments come in the wake of a dispute between Amerado and the TGMA board over song nominations.
Amerado sought recognition for the original version of his song ‘Kweku Ananse’ but initially faced disappointment.
However, following a petition, the board reconsidered and included the song in the most popular song of the year category.
