Terence Wilson was born on June 24, 1957, in Birmingham. The former UB40 member Astro, real name Terence Wilson, has died after a short illness, his current band has confirmed. He was 64.

UB40 is an English reggae-pop band formed in 1978. It enjoyed sustained success with more than 50 entries in the UK singles charts. The group sold about 100m albums worldwide.
