Tems Releases Highly Anticipated Debut Album ‘Born In The Wild’

Tems, the renowned artist, has at last unveiled her eagerly anticipated debut album, ‘Born In The Wild’. The long-awaited album, which fans have been looking forward to for months, was released on June 7, 2024.

It is a collection of 18 songs, including two interludes, and features guest appearances from Afrobeats sensation Asake and Grammy-winning American rapper J Cole.

Before the album’s release, Tems put out two singles, ‘Me & U’ and ‘Love Me Jeje’. The former earned her a pair of nominations at the 2024 BET Awards. The latter is a reinterpretation of a song originally performed by Seyi Sodimu and Shaffy Bello.

In addition to releasing these singles, Tems has been showcasing her new music in live performances. She sang ‘Unfortunate’, a track from the album, during her appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. She also performed ‘Love Me Jeje’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

‘Born In The Wild’ is Tems’ third project and comes two years after her EP ‘If Orange Was A Place’. Since her breakout performance on Wizkid’s hit song ‘Essence’, Tems has seen her star rise rapidly on the global stage.

Tems has collaborated with a number of high-profile artists, including Beyonce, Drake, and Future. Her work with these artists led to her winning a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

The release of ‘Born In The Wild’ marks a significant milestone in Tems’ career as she continues her ascent to global stardom.
