Mayor Sam Pyne of Kumasi, representing the Regional Minister, emphasized the crucial role of telecommunications in various sectors like agriculture, education, health, and entrepreneurship, expressing optimism that Telecel’s presence will catalyze development.
Echoing similar sentiments, Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai, CEO of Telecel Ghana, reiterated the company’s commitment to the region, focusing on providing digital innovations and affordable telecommunication services to meet the evolving needs of Ghanaians.

Having entered the Ghanaian market in February 2023 through the acquisition of a majority stake in Ghana Telecommunication Company Limited (GTCL), Telecel Group, operating in over 20 African countries, remains steadfast in its mission to drive digitalization and innovation across the continent.
Additionally, through initiatives like the African Start-up Initiative Program (ASIP), Telecel demonstrates its commitment to nurturing start-ups and fostering entrepreneurship in Africa.
