Rafiwu embarked on his journey on Saturday, April 27, and concluded it on Tuesday, April 30, at Accra’s Independence Square.
Despite earlier reports of Rafiwu collapsing near Konongo, he clarified that the incident was during a scheduled recovery session with the medical team and not a collapse as rumored.
This feat by Rafiwu adds a remarkable chapter to the world of walking marathons, challenging the existing record set by Jesse Casteneda in 1976.
