Wily Taylor’s manager, Michael Henderson, confirmed to USA TODAY on Friday that the actor died on Thursday, citing natural causes as the reason for his death.

Honolulu’s KITV4 Island News was the first to report on Wily’s passing, which has deeply affected his fans and colleagues. Wily, born Teila Tuli, portrayed the character of Kamekona, an entrepreneur and informant, for 10 seasons on the popular television series. His performance brought humour and depth to the show, making him a beloved figure among viewers.

“Hawaii Five-0” showrunner Peter M. Lenkov paid tribute to Wily on Instagram, expressing his sorrow with a heartfelt message. “I am devastated. Heartbroken. I’ll post some detailed feelings later. Just too hard right now,” Lenkov wrote, captioning a photo of the two of them together.
