Taylor Swift delighted her fans once again by releasing a surprise second album called “The Tortured Poets Department” at an unexpected 2 a.m. on Friday, April 19.

In one song titled “Thank you aIMee,” Swift seemed to cleverly hide a message within the capitalized letters, spelling out the name “Kim.” This sparked speculation among her fans, known as Swifties, that the song might be targeting Kim Kardashian, whom Swift compared to a high school bully.

Swift’s lyrics reflect on the enduring impact of past conflicts, hinting at the possibility that the person in question hasn’t changed much over time. The song concludes with a mysterious line hinting at future repercussions.

Describing her hometown, Swift sings about a “bronze spray-tanned statue” of “Aimee” with a plaque threatening violence. She reflects on the emotional turmoil caused by this person, singing, “Screamed ‘F—k you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushing. But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

Swift continues to express the unequal nature of their conflict, describing it as neither fair nor clean. She also references her mother, Andrea Swift, saying that despite her saintly nature, she once wished ill upon this person.

Despite their ongoing feud, Kardashian has previously admitted to listening to Swift’s music. The song concludes with Swift hinting that someday, this person’s child might come home singing a song about them, shared only between the two of them.

This feud between Swift and Kardashian traces back to Kanye West’s interruption of Swift’s 2009 acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards and escalated with West’s song “Famous” in 2016, where he claimed Swift had consented to lyrics insulting her.
