Super Eagles Player Onyedika Helps Club Brugge Clinch Belgian Pro League Championship

Nigerian footballer Raphael Onyedika became a Belgian champion for the first time on Sunday night, May 26.

His team, Club Brugge, secured the title after a 0-0 draw with Cercle Brugge in a tightly contested derby. This result brought Club Brugge to 50 points, just one point ahead of Union St. Gilloise, who won their match against Genk 2-0.

Onyedika played the entire match for Club Brugge in their final league game of the season. The 23-year-old Super Eagles star has been an important player throughout the season, scoring three goals in 30 league appearances.

This victory adds to his list of achievements, having previously won the Danish League title with FC Midtjylland.

With this championship, Club Brugge has qualified directly for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League next season, providing Onyedika an opportunity to showcase his talent on one of the biggest stages in club football.
