In a heart-wrenching incident that shook the community, Deveca Rose, a 29-year-old woman from the U.K., has been charged with the manslaughter of her four young children.

The devastating event unfolded as a house fire claimed the lives of two sets of twins, Leyton and Logan Hoath, aged 3, and Kyson and Bryson Hoath, aged 4, in the Sutton area of south London in December 2021.
According to a news release from the Metropolitan Police on Sunday, Rose faces four counts of manslaughter and an additional charge of child abandonment.
The tragic incident took place during an intense blaze, prompting firefighters to bravely enter the engulfed home and rescue the four brothers. Despite administering CPR, the children could not be revived and were later pronounced dead at two south London hospitals.

Deveca Rose appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court in London on December 11, 2023. Rose, of Sutton, was granted bail on four conditions, including that she reside at her registered address, surrender her passport, not be in possession of travel documents, and stay away from “travel hubs.” The case will next be heard at the Old Bailey on January 8 2024.
