Roman Coppola Roman is an American director, screenwriter, and producer.
He was born on April 22, 1965, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
Roman began acting at age 8 starring in his father’s 1974 epic crime film The Godfather Part II.

On 1986 Memorial Day, Gian-Carlo was killed in a speedboating incident in Annapolis, Maryland at age 22.

Gian-Carlo’s fiancée Jacqui de la Fontaine was two months pregnant at the time of his death.
His daughter, Gian-Carla “Gia” Coppola a writer-director, was born on January 1, 1987.
Roman Coppola, Sofia Coppola, and Gian-Carlo Coppola were all born to set decorator and artist Eleanor Coppola and film director Francis Ford Coppola.
