Nigerian singer, Charles Chibuezechukwu, popularly known as Crayon, recently shared his experiences with public acceptance and severe health issues during an episode of ‘Drip Check.’ The talented Mavin artist opened up about his battles with depression in 2020 and a life-threatening situation in 2022, revealing the intense struggles he faced on his journey to success.

Reflecting on his career, Crayon recounted the difficulties he faced in 2020, a year he described as one of his darkest. Despite his relentless efforts, including the release of seven songs, he struggled to gain traction in the music industry.

The singer highlighted the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on his career, particularly with his song ‘Gbona,’ which he believed had the potential to be a massive hit. “‘Gbona’ was a club banger,” Crayon explained. “I dropped the video, but it still didn’t pick up. I was dropping songs biweekly.”
He also revealed that, “I had a breakdown in early 2022. People don’t come back from that sh*t, me standing right here now is a miracle. I almost lost my life.”
