Shugatiti Reveals Advances from Pastors and Instrumentalists Led Her to Stop Attending Church

Ghanaian actress Shugatiti has opened up about her decision to cease attending church services, citing unwelcome sexual advances from pastors, instrumentalists, and others as the primary reason.

In an upcoming interview with Pulse Ghana, Shugatiti expressed her discomfort with the church environment, where she claimed advances towards her were commonplace.

These advances, which she consistently rebuffed, resulted in her feeling isolated and excluded when attending church.

“For over seven years now, I haven’t been going to church. There’s too much favoritism and sin there. The instrumentalists and pastors all want to sleep with you. If you refuse, they ignore you,” she revealed.

Shugatiti emphasized that these experiences discouraged her from continuing to attend church. Instead, she turns to fasting and prayer for spiritual solace and guidance, noting that she finds answers to her prayers through this personal approach.

Known for her romantic roles in movies and provocative social media presence, Shugatiti has previously stated that she relies on prayer rather than human relationships to fulfill her needs.

The actress’s revelations highlight broader concerns about misconduct and inappropriate behavior within religious institutions, prompting discussions about church culture and the treatment of women in such settings.
