Background of Shirley Frimpong-Manso

Shirley Frimpong-Manso is from Kwahu Pepease of Kwahu East District in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

As a child who prefers organizing plays with her fellows to playing with dolls and toys, Shirley grew up with a love for plays. She graduated from the National Film and Television Institute which is popularly abbreviated as NAFTI in Ghana in 2000.

Later in 2003, Shirley worked as a presenter with Radio Gold, a private FM station in Accra for a while before going forth to start Sparrow Productions in 2003 same year.

In 2013 she was ranked as the 48th most influential person in Ghana by E.tv Ghana.
She is married to Ken Attoh. They have been married since 2009 and they have a child together.

Shirley is described as a person who “seeks to raise the standard of film production in Ghana and Africa by telling progressive African stories as seen through the eyes of Africans.
