Sani urged Governor Uba Sani to establish an independent probe panel to investigate the previous administration’s role in accumulating the substantial debt.
Governor Uba Sani recently revealed that his administration inherited a debt of $587 million, N85 billion, and 115 contractual liabilities from the previous administration. This debt burden has made it challenging for the government to pay workers’ salaries.
Sani emphasized that resolving the situation requires more than just revelations but courageous action, including constituting a probe panel to hold accountable ex-government officials and contractors involved in misusing or stealing funds.
