According to the municipal police, Silva and her pals were all traveling on her motorcycle when she was asked to pull over by two men on a moped.
The mother-of-one resisted and sped off before stopping and leaving the bike while she and her pals fled on foot, according to police representative Francisco Costa.

Silva was hit six times by the attackers before being pronounced dead at the scene. As of Monday night, there had been no reports of arrests.

Silva had a significant following on Instagram, where she had two accounts with a combined total of over 1,400 followers.
