Initially linked with high-profile players like Lille striker Jonathan David and Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, Roma seemed unlikely to secure such talents.
While the pursuit of David quickly fizzled, Roma’s interest in Federico Chiesa persisted, though he seemed out of reach.

Fast forward two months, and AS Roma has completed impressive deals for striker Artem Dovbyk and winger Matías Soulé, each costing over €30 million.
Meanwhile, Federico Chiesa remains without a new club, his situation growing dire. Juventus is now reportedly willing to let him go for as little as €15 million, a bargain for such a talented player.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, AS Roma remains in contact with Federico Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani and are looking to sign him before the start of the season.
