Rod Blagojevich was impeached, convicted, and removed from office in 2009 by the Illinois General Assembly. Rod Blagojevich was also sentenced to 14 years in federal prison.

U.S. President Donald Trump formally commuted Rod Blagojevich’s sentence in 2020, after Blagojevich had been imprisoned for nearly eight years.

Rod Blagojevich, often referred to by his nickname “Blago” was born on December 10, 1956,  in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. Rod Blagojevich is 66 years old as of 2023.

Rod Blagojevich enrolled at the University of Tampa. After two years, he transferred to Northwestern University in suburban Evanston, where he graduated in 1979 with a B.A. in history.

Rod Blagojevich earned his J.D. from the Pepperdine University School of Law in 1983. In 2005, Rod Blagojevich also served as a Chair of the Midwestern Governors Association.

Rod Blagojevich represented the 33rd state house district in the Illinois House of Representatives where he supported mostly law and order policies.
