Relatives and school authorities confirmed via social media that Rosewell High School quarterback Robbie Roper died Wednesday, December 22.

Robbie Roper was born in 2003 and was 18 years old at the time of his death. News of the teen’s condition became public Tuesday night, December 21.

The teenager was undergoing shoulder surgery in Florida when complications took place, ending up putting him on life support, according to social media posts.
The talented high school senior, at the time of his death, was listed by 247 Sports as having offers to play college football at Massachusetts, Morehead State, Morgan State, and Western Carolina as well as interest from other schools. Recently, the University of Florida expressed interest in the quarterback.
The unfortunate turn of events has broken the hearts of family, schoolmates, and school officials.
