Rhys Hoskins knee injury: What happened to Rhys Hoskins?

Rhys Hoskins was carted off the field after going down with a non-contact injury during Wednesday’s spring training game against the Detroit Tigers.

Rhys Hoskins had surgery over the offseason to repair the meniscus in his right knee. In the said March 23 spring training game, Hoskins backtracked a short-hop ground ball from Austin Meadows.

Rhys Hoskins then fell to the ground with a non-contact injury. The Phillies announced that Rhys Hoskins had suffered a left knee injury.

Rhys Hoskins made his professional debut in 2014 with the Class A Short Season Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York–Penn League.

On August 28, 2017,  in his 19th career game, Rhys Hoskins recorded his 25th RBI in the second-fewest games.

Rhys Hoskins became the third rookie in franchise history to have extra-base hits in six consecutive games on August 28, 2017.

On September 2, 2017, Rhys Hoskins became the fastest player to hit 12 home runs, a feat he achieved in only 24 games. In November 2018, Rhys Hoskins represented MLB in the 2018 MLB Japan All-Star Series.
