Retired Pastor Fatally Crushed by Speeding Taxi in Kasoa

In a tragic incident that has left the community of Krispo City in Kasoa reeling, a retired pastor, Joseph Kwaku Koranteng, aged 60, lost his life after being fatally crushed by a speeding taxi on Monday, June 24, 2024.

The retired pastor, affiliated with the Apostolic Church of Ghana in Gomoa Nyanyano, met his untimely demise around 3:00 PM while attempting to cross the dual-carriage highway to check his blood pressure status.

According to reports from Kasapa News by Yaw Boagyan, the taxi, with registration number GX 8200 – 20, was reportedly traveling at high speed when it struck Mr. Koranteng, resulting in his instant death at the scene.

Following the tragic incident, authorities swiftly intervened, with police officers promptly arriving at the scene to manage the situation.

The deceased’s body was subsequently transported to the Mother and Child Hospital Morgue for preservation and further procedures.

Meanwhile, the driver of the taxi involved has been apprehended by the police to aid in ongoing investigations at the police station. The arrest is part of efforts to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident and determine any legal actions necessary.
